Abstract
Abstract A switching regulator, of the type having a switching device whose state of conduction is controlled in response to the voltage across a load, which includes a transformer whose primary winding is connected in circuit with the switching device. A rectifier and inductive storage device are connected in circuit with the secondary winding, a diode being connected from one end of the secondary winding to one load terminal, for transferring energy from the secondary winding to the load at times when the switching device is rendered non-conductive.
