Abstract
Abstract There is disclosed method and apparatus for enriching the concentration of one component eluting from a gas chromatograph by the substantial elimination of carrier gas therefrom. This is accomplished by passing the desired component through a cooled zone where it is condensed while the carrier gas continues to flow. When the component has been collected, the formerly cooled zone is heated to revaporize the component, permitting it to be flushed into a subsequent sample chamber, such as that of a spectrophotometer.
