Abstract
Abstract Disclosed is an improved multiple glazed window unit and as improved method and apparatus for fabricating hermetically sealed glazing units comprised of a pair of spaced glass sheets separated at their marginal edges by a flexible spacer and surrounded about the perimeter by a deformable sealant covered with a flexible or non-rigid tape. In accordance with use of the preferred process and apparatus of this invention, the portions of the flexible cover tape and sealant overlying the spacer are longitudinally recessed or indented relative to lateral portions of the tape and sealant overlying the glass sheet edges.
