Abstract

Abstract An electromechanical transducer element is supported within a transducer housing by a resilient mounting assembly which includes a mass element and a pair of conical washers. The washer stiffness and the mass element are adjusted for a natural resonant frequency below the transducer operating frequency band. Externally generated mechanical vibrations applied to the transducer housing are transmitted through the mounting assembly to the transducer largely at low frequencies, and thus do not interfere with transducer operation in the frequency band of interest.
