Abstract THIS INVENTION RELATES TO PROCESS FOR HYDROGENATING UNSATURATED ORGANIC MOLECULES SUCH AS OLEFINS AND DIOLEFINS TO THEIR SATURATED DERIVATIVES UTILIZING HOMOGENEOUS CATALYSTIS COMPRISED OF CUPROUS HALIDES COMPLEXED WITH LIGANDS CONTAINING ORGANIC RADICALS BONDED TO ELEMENTS, IN THE TRIVALENT STATE, SELECTED FROM GROUP VA (EXCLUDING NITROGEN AND BISMUTH), PARTICULARLY THOSE OF THE PHOSPHINE AND PHOSPHITE TYPE.
