Abstract A METHOD OF PREPARING PAPER IS DISCLOSED WHICH INCLUDES THE STEP OF ADDING TO THE PAPER PULP THE PRODUCTS OF THE REACTION OF STARCH XANTHATE WITH EITHER AN ALKYL DIGLYCIDAL ETHER ORAN ALKYL DIEPOXIDE TO THUS INCREASE, BURST, WET AND DRY STRENGTH AND FOLD ENDURANCE OF THE PAPER. THIS REACTION MAY TAKE PLACE EX OR IN SITU.
