Abstract
Abstract Triazine-based polyimides are prepared by first reacting dianhydrides with s-triazine compounds containing at least two primary aromatic, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic amino groups to give triazine-based polyamic acids which, on curing, yield the polyimides. From solutions of polyamic acids useful fibers, films, adhesives, coatings and composites can be prepared. The triazine-based polyimides possess high temperature oxidative stability, good mechanical properties and electrical properties and low void contents.
