Abstract
Abstract A device for removing or couching a fibrous web from either the forming wire of a Fourdrinier machine or the surface of a forming roll (or cylinder) in the case of a cylinder type machine which includes a smooth apron which contacts the web and an inflatable, elastomeric, hollow member which presses the apron against the web in a uniform fashion. The hollow member can be filled to an adjustable level with liquids or gases.
