Abstract A LIQUID DYE CARRIER COMPOSITION INCLUDING BY WEIGHT ABOUT 60 TO ABOUT 100% OF A NORMALLY LIQUID ALKYLATED BIPHENYL, ABOUT 40 TO 0% BIPHENYL AND ABOUT 5 TO ABOUT I/% OF ANIONIC AND/OR NONIONIC EMULSIFIERS BASED ON THE WEIGHT OF THE ALKYLATED BIPHENYL. THE LIQUID ALKYLATED BIPHENYL MAY BE EMPLOYED ALONE OR AS A LIQUID ISOMERIC MIXTURE IN A DYE BATH FOR DYEING POLYESTER FIBERS AND OTHER ARTICLES HAVING A SYNTHETIC POLYMER OR OTHER BASIS.
