Abstract
Abstract A discharge tube provided with a pair of electrodes is filled with an inert gas and is adapted for use with photographic apparatus as a stroboscope or the like. At least one getter of metals such as titanium, tantalum and zirconium is mounted on or near one of the electrodes. The getter is heated by the near electrode and the ion flow in the tube.
