Abstract A VINYL AROMATIC MONOMER IS POLYMERISED WITH TWO INITIATORS OF DIFFERENT HALF LIVES USING A TWO STAGE CONTINUOUS TEPERATURE RISE. THE TEMPERATURE CYCLE IS AN INITIAL INCREASE TO 105-125*C. IN LESS THAN 1 HOUR AND A FURTHER RISE TO BETWEEN 1300 AND 150*C. IN UP TO AN HOUR OR MORE.
