Abstract
Abstract A METHOD OF RENDERING EPOXY FORMULATIONS LIGHT SENSITIVE IS PROVIDED. A FORMULATION COMPRISING AN EPOXY AND A HARDENER IS ALLOWED TO SLOWLY REACT, OR AGE, UNTIL THE MATERIAL IS NEAR ITS GEL POINT, E.G., FOR ABOUT 1 DAY TO ABOUT 30 DAYS. AFTER AGING, FROM ABOUT 1% TO ABOUT 5% OF A SENSITIZER SELECTED FROM A HALOGENATED ORGANIC COMPOUND IS ADDED. THE FORMULATION IS COATED ON A SUBSTRATE, EXPOSED TO ACTINIC RADIATION AND SOLVENT DEVELOPED.
