Abstract FIBROUS MATERIAL CONSISTING OF A SYNTHETIC MATERIAL IS DYED WITH A BASIC DYESTUFF IN THE PRESENCE OF AT LEAST ONE MEMBER OF A GROUP OF AMINE OR NITROGEN-CONTAINING COMPOUNDS. EFFECTIVE COMPOUNDS INCLUDE CYCLOHEXYLAMINE INCLUDING ALKYL SUBSTITUTED CYCLOHEXYLAMINES, FURFURYLAMINE, 1,2,3,4-TETRAHYDROISOQUINOLINE, AND THE LIKE. THE AFORESAID COMPOUNDS ARE CHARACTERIZED BY THE ABILITY OF FACILITATING THE MIGRATION-TRANSFER OF DYE FROM A DENSELY DYED OR NORMALLY DYED PORTION OF A SYNTHETIC FABRIC/FIBER TO A SPARSELY DYED OR UNDYED PORTION.
