Abstract A COMPOSITION FOR BLEACHING KERATINIC FIBERS INCLUDES A MIXTURE OF AN OXIDIZING AGENT AND AT LEAST ONE NMETHYLOL COMPOUND WHICH IS METHYLATED ON THE NITROGEN OF A -C(=S)-N< GROUP OR A DERIVATIVE THEREOF. THE OXIDIZING AGENT IS MIXED WITH THE N-METHYLOL COMPOUND OR ITS DERIVATIVE JUST BEFORE APPLICATION OF THE RESULTING MIXTURE TO THE KERATINIC FIBERS.
