Abstract
Abstract Apparatus for fabricating PC concrete pipe reinforcing including fittings or plates for holding tension reinforcements and nontension vertical reinforcements, bobbin and welding apparatus for welding spiral non-tension reinforcements to the non-tension reinforcements, rings to hold the tension reinforcements substantially parallel, when the plates or fittings are such that they are not normally parallel, the bobbin and welding apparatus being either fixed, axially movable, and/or rotatable around the vertical reinforcements, and one of the fittings or plates being axially movable when the vertical reinforcements are normally substantially parallel.

Apparatus for fabricating reinforcements for PC concrete pipes comprising: a. means for forming cage-shaped body including means for interweaving spiral transverse reinforcements around longitudinal non-tension reinforcements; b. means for supporting end surface metal fittings adjacent both ends of said cage-shaped body, including means for axially moving said fittings, c. guide base means having transverse frames having the same pitch as the spiral transverse reinforcements constituting said cage-shaped body, d. guide members on said frames along said spiral transverse reinforcement pitch, e. means for inserting vertical tension reinforcements into said cage-shaped body, f. upsetter means for forming rivet heads and to hook said tension reinforcements to said end surface metal fittings, g. means for pulling both of said fittings in opposite directions and shaping said reinforcements into desired forms.
