Abstract
Abstract An improved high pressure flexible hose and method of making same are provided by providing a flexible plastic tube and applying a layer of an elastomeric adhesive on the outside surface of the tube. An outer cover is braided against the layer of adhesive and the adhesive allowed to set. The properties of the adhesive are such that upon bending the hose the adhesive serves as an elastic connection between the tube and the braided cover to thereby provide improved service life for the hose even under adverse operating conditions.
