Abstract
Abstract A process for preparing 3,4-dihydroxy phenylalanine derivatives including novel 3,4-dihydroxy phenylalanine derivatives wherein the phenyl ring contains an additional substituent which can be hydroxy, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen, nitro or amino groups from a mono hydroxy phenyl alanine including novel intermediates in this process. The novel 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine derivatives are useful as blood pressure lowering agents and as anti-parkinson agents.
