Abstract 8-substituted 10-piperazino-10,11-dihydrodibenzo (b,f) thiepines having the formula WHEREIN R1 is alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio having one to four carbon atoms, or trifluoromethyl, R2 is hydrogen or hydroxyalkyl having two to four carbon atoms, and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof having valuable pharmacodynamic activity and being suitable for use as neuro- and psychotropic medicaments.
