Abstract
Abstract Alpha -Halophenoxy-isobutyroyl- Beta -nicotinoyl glycols are prepared by esterifying halophenoxy-isobutyric acid with ethylene glycol and then further reacting the obtained semi-ester with a nicotinic acid halide. The prepared compounds are useful as lipid-lowering agents.
