Abstract ALKALI METAL MARCAPTIDES HAVE BEEN FOUND USEFUL AS CATALYSTS IN THE REACTION OF ORGANIC ISOCYANATES WITH COMPOUNDS HAVING A REACTIVE HYDROGEN ATOM. THE CATALYST ARE PARTICULARLY EFFECTIVE IN THE PRODUCTION OF URETHANE AND SIOCYANURATE COMPOUNDS.
