Abstract PARTIALLY FLUORINATED PARAFFIN SULFONIC ACID AMIDES HAVING IN THEIR AMIDE MOIETY AN ALKYLENE GROUP WITH A TERMINAL TERTIARY AMINO GROUP OR A QUATERNARY AMMONIUM GROUP ARE OBTAINED BY REACTING A PARTIALLY FLUORINATED PARAFFIN SULFOCHLORIDE WITH AN N,N-DIALKYL-ALKYLENEDIAMINE AND, OPTINALLY, TRANSFORMING THE SO-OBTAINED SULFONIC ACID AMIDES INTO THEIR SALTS WITH ACIDS OR QUATERNIZING AGENTS. THE PRODUCTS ARE USEFUL AS SURFACE-OR INTERFACE-ACTIVE AGENTS, ESPECIALLY AS EMULSIFIERS OR FOAMING AGENTS.
