Abstract
Abstract SILICONE FLUIDS CONTAINING A SMALL AMOUNT OF ALKALI METAL SALT OF TRIFLUOROACETIC ACID HAVE REDUCED TENDENCY TO FORM GELATINOUS SOLIDS AS THEY DECOMPOSE AT HIGH TEMPERATURE. THE FUNCTION OF SAID METAL SALT IS IMPROVED BY THE ADDITION OF A SMALL AMOUNT OF SODIUM HYDROXIDE.
