Abstract

Abstract An arrangement to eliminate distortions of weft threads in fabric, comprising a roller passed about by the fabric and freely rotating on an axle, which roller and axle consist in their length of at least two parts connected to each other by a hinge, and rest therethrough on a support, while the free outer ends of these parts are hinged in appropriate supports, that are made mutually displaceable in case of distortions, so as to swing the roller and thus change the length of the distance travelled by different sections of one and the same distorted weft thread, thereby eliminating the distortions.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 159 words
Apparatus for eliminating weft thread distortions in fabric, said apparatus comprising: two spaced rotating rolls for conveying the fabric: an axle mounted between said rolls and having a freely rotating roller thereon, about which the fabric is passed, said roller and axle respectively including two separate sections, a hinge joining said sections at opposite free inner ends thereof to permit relative pivotal movement therebetween; a retaining means supporting said hinge; a displaceable support pivotably supporting the outer free end of the axle of each section, means for translationally moving said supports independently of one another to translationally move the outer ends of the axles of the respective sections and thereby cause independent pivotal movement of the sections about said hinge to compensate for thread distortion; said supports being individually displaceable to swing the sections of said roller about said hinge to change the length of the distance travelled by different sections of one and the same distorted weft thread.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 159 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 159 words
