Claim 1
Independent Claim 54 words
A composition in unit dosage form for inhibiting anomalous deposition and mobilization of calcium phosphate in animal tissue comprising (1) an effective but non-toxic amount, within the range from about 15 mg. to about 1000 mg. of a polyphosphonate selected from the group consisting of poly(vinylidenediphosphonic) acid composed of monomer units of the formula
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 54 words
A composition in unit dosage form for inhibiting anomalous deposition and mobilization of calcium phosphate in animal tissue comprising (1) an effective but non-toxic amount, within the range from about 15 mg. to about 1000 mg. of a polyphosphonate selected from the group consisting of poly(vinylidenediphosphonic) acid composed of monomer units of the formula
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 12 words
The composition of claim 1 in which the polyphosphonate is trisodium poly(vinylidenediphosphonate).
Claim 4
Independent Claim 43 words
A method for inhibiting anomalous deposition and mobilization of calcium phosphate in animal tissue comprising systemically administering to said animals an effective but non-toxic amount of a polyphosphonate selected from the group consisting of poly(vinylidenediphosphonic) acid composed of monomer units of the formula
Claim 5
Independent Claim 43 words
A method for inhibiting anomalous deposition and mobilization of calcium phosphate in animal tissue comprising systemically administering to said animals an effective but non-toxic amount of a polyphosphonate selected from the group consisting of poly(vinylidenediphosphonic) acid composed of monomer units of the formula
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 11 words
The method of claim 3 wherein the polyphosphonate is trisodium poly(vinylidenediphosphonate).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 26 words
An animal feeD composition comprising a minor proportion of a polyphosphonate selected from the group consisting of poly(vinylidenediphosphonic acid) composed of monomer units of the formula
Claim 8
