Abstract SOLID NITRILOTRIACETATE (NTA)-METLA COMPLEXES HAVING A MOLAR RATIO OF AT LEAST 1.5 TO 1, THE METAL BEING COBALT, IRON, NICKEL OR ZINC, ARE USEFUL AS MICRONUTRIENTS FOR PLANTS AND AS CATALYSTS IN VARIOUS CHEMICAL REACTIONS. THE SOLIDS COMPLEXES ARE PREPARED BY REACTION OF THE METAL SALTS WITH NTA IN A MOLAR RATIO OF AT LEAST 1:1.5. AN ACID IS USED TO ADJUST PH AND STABILIZE THE SOLID COMPLEXES.
