Abstract
Abstract N-(piperazinylethyl)-carbamates are prepared in good yield by reacting at an elevated temperature an N-hydrocarbylcarbamate with triethylenediamine or an N-hydrocarbylcarbamate, triethylenediamine and an added alkylating agent. The Npiperazinyl derivatives so-formed are useful as catalysts in the manufacture of polyurethanes, in the preparation of acid-soluble and acid-dyeable polyurethanes.
