Abstract

Abstract A billet manipulating unit adapted, in conjunction with similar units, to receive therein an elongated steel billet which is rectangular in transverse cross section, and the width of which is appreciably greater than its thickness and, by the manipulative action of two cooperating pivoted billet-engaging arms, to impart varying increments of unidirectional turning movement to the billet in order to present selected side surfaces of corner edges thereof to a grinding wheel for conditioning purposes.
