Abstract
Abstract A process for dehydrogenating an alkane to form an olefin by passing it over a catalyst comprising nickel or cobalt sulfide and cerium oxide alone or in combination with barium oxide, preferably on an alumina support, at a temperature of from about 550* to 625* C. and recovering the olefin.
