Abstract IN THE CASTING OF CERAMIC ARTICLES FROM SLIP IN POROUS MOULDS, CASTING UP IS AIDED BY ELECTROPHORESIS, THE ELECTROPHORETIC TREATMENT BEING COMMENCED AFTER A SHORT INITIAL CAST UP AND CEASING BEFORE A FINAL CAST UP WHICH HAS A MUCH LONGER DURATION THAN THE ELECTROPHORETIC TREATMENT. APPARATUS FOR CARRYING OUT THE PROCESS IS ALSO DESCRIBED.
