Abstract

Abstract A combination of two known types of surfactant gasoline additives with a non-surfactant lubricating oil additive is found to provide, in addition to good overall carburetor detergency, a synergistic anti-icing effect, as compared to any one or two of the additives alone. One of the surfactant additives is a succinimide condensation product of an alkylene polyamine with an alkenyl succinic anhydride, while the other is a long-chain primary alkyl- or alkenyl amine.
