Abstract
Abstract Title products are described which are useful intermediates for the production of synthetic resins such as saturated and unsaturated polyester resins, polycarbonates and epoxy resins and which are prepared by reacting 2,6-dichloropyridine with a dialkali phenolate in the molar ratio of approximately 1:2 in the presence of a polar organic solvent at about 60* to about 180*C and acidifying the reaction mixture.
