Abstract
Abstract The invention concerns a process for the manufacture of 6acylamino-3-hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-penam compounds, useful as intermediates, which are obtained by irradiation of 6-acylamino3-arylmethoxycarbonyl-amino-2,2-dimethylpenam compounds with simultaneous or subsequent treatment with water. Also included are the starting materials used in the above procedure.
