Apparatus according to claim 1, in which a short duct forms a substantially closed passage between the periphery of the pair of feed rolls and the inlet opening of the chopper housing.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 28 words
Apparatus according to claim 4, in which a separate, quickly replaceable counter knife is mounted along the rear edge of one of the side walls of said duct.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 23 words
Apparatus according to claim 5, in which said last mentioned counter knife extends through a slot in the lower wall of said duct.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 29 words
Apparatus according to claim 5, in which a clamping piece holds said last mentioned counter knife in a longitudinal slot of the associated side wall of the inlet duct.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 26 words
Apparatus according to claim 5, in which the last mentioned counter knife comprises a hardened steel strip and is bent along at least one longitudinal line.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 33 words
Apparatus according to claim 8, in which the cross section of the last mentioned counter knife is symmetrical such that two parallel longitudinal side edges can alternately be used as a cutting edge.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 50 words
Apparatus according to claim 9, in which the operative part of the last mentioned counter knife extends along the side wall of the inlet duct and the remaining part of the counter knife is enclosed between the clamping piece and the slot in the side wall of the inlet duct.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 30 words
Apparatus according to claim 4, in which the rear edge of one of the upstanding side walls of said duct serves as a counter knife for the chopper rotor knives.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 22 words
Apparatus according to claim 1, in which the outlet of the chopper rotor is connected to a flexible ribbed thermoplastic discharge tube.
Claim 16
