Abstract Fluorocompounds of the formula CH CH2(CH2CH2)nRfCH2OR in which Rf is a perfluoroalkylene radical of no more than 18 carbon atoms and R is a hydrogen atom or acyl radical. These monomers can be polymerized with a free radical catalyst to give OR THE COMPOUNDS CAN BE REACTED WITH *SiH to give the corresponding substituted silicon atom.
