Claim 1

A composite garment of the class described comprising a main body portion adapted to cover the hips and crotch region of a wearer and being formed at least in part of stretch material, the main body portion having a relatively narrow crotch section between leg openings thereof and said crotch section having a front-to-back stretchable elongated slot due to which the crotch section has reduced ability to compress the body of a wearer in the crotch region, and a covering panty element formed at least in part of stretch material and worn over the exterior of the main body portion, said covering panty element having a complete unapertured crotch section integral therewith completely covering said elongated slot of the main body portion, the covering panty element due to its elasticity compensating for the loss of compression on the body in the crotch region occasioned by the provision of said slot and restoring in this region the required degree of compression when the panty element is in exterior covering relation to the main body portion in the hip and crotch region, and means attaching the covering panty element to the main body portion at the abdominal region of the composite garment.
