Abstract
Abstract A gas filter is provided for the removal of extremely finely divided aerosols and water including particles in the range of 0.01 to 0.8 microns in size and especially oil in compressed air; the liquid is coalesced in a filter medium of non-absorbent fiber and collected from a sleeve carried downstream of the filter medium which is held compressed between inner and outer fluid permeable support members the ends of which are sealed to the juxtaposed edge regions of the filter medium.
