Abstract THE PREPARATION OF ACYL SUBSTITUTED PHENYLIMIDAZO(2,1-B)THIAZOLES IS DESCRIBED. THEY ARE PREPARED BY ACYLATION OF PHENYYLIMIDAZO(2,1-B)THIAZOLES WITH AN ACYL HALIDE OR ANHYDRIDE. THEY CAN ALSO BE PREPARED BY CYCILIZATION OF THE APPROPRIATE SUBSTITUTED THIAZOLE TO PRODUCE THE DESIRED PHENYLIMIDAZO(2,1-B)THIAZOLE. THE LATTER COMPOUNDS ARE USEFUL FOR THE CONTROL OF HELMINTHS IN WARMBLOODED ANIMALS.
