SULPHUR FROM THE COKE IS FIXED IN THE PARTICLES MAINLY AS CAS. SOME OF THE PARTICLES PASS INDIRECTLY BACK TO THE COKER VIA A REGENERATOR IN WHICH THEY ARE CONTACTED WITH OXYGEN WITH THE RELEASE OF SO2 IN USEFUL CONCENTRATIONS.
