Abstract

Abstract The present disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing a stator unit for rotary electric machines such as electric motors having a lamellate stator core and provided with cup-shaped bearing support means secured by the larger end relative to the stator core end face. To overcome the difficulties of such a mounting and to attain high geometrical and dimensional accuracy of the stator unit and the rotor assembly mounting, the invention provides a method of moulding on at the stator core end face a formation of a setting substance affording accurate locating surface for mating surfaces at the bearing support means, the latter being rigidly secured in the position thus determined as by bonding.

Claim 1
Independent Claim 204 words
A method of assembling a stator unit having a lamellate stator core for rotary electric apparatus provided with cupshaped bearing support means connected at a larger end to the stator core and mounting a rotor bearing means at a smaller end consisting of the steps of inserting a stator winding, having winding heads, in the stator slots, engaging a molding member in the rotor cavity of the stator core to be axially guided thereby and providing at least at one axial end of the apparatus a predetermined interspace between the stator core end face, the inside of the winding heads and the molding member, sealing off the stator slots inwardly by means of the molding member to prevent obstruction of the rotor cavity, introducing into the interspace a flowable plastic substance operable to form a molding adhering to the stator core end plate and shaped to provide accurate locating means for one bearing support means at one axial end of the apparatus, coaxially guiding another bearing support means at the opposite axial end of the apparatus by means of the molding member and molding the other bearing support means by means of a setting plastic substance at the opposite axial end of the apparatus.

Claim 3
Independent Claim 126 words
A method of assembling a stator unit having a lamellate stator core for rotary electric machines provided with cup-shaped bearing support means connected at a larger end to the stator core and mounting a rotor bearing means at a smaller end consisting of the steps of inserting the stator winding in the stator slots, mounting a generally ring-like blank of a setting plastic substance on a molding member, engaging the molding member in the rotor cavity and axially displacing the molding member relative to the stator cavity so that the blank is urged against the end face of the stator core and the inside of the winding heads to adhere thereto and form a molding member of a preDetermined configuration to locate the bearing support means.
