Abstract

Abstract In an electric cable having a semiconducting jacket applied directly over a wall of polymeric insulation, excessive bonding of the jacket to the insulation is prevented by applying the curing agent for the jacket only to its outer surface after extrusion, and then effecting a vulcanization such that the inner jacket surface remains thermoplastic.
