Abstract
Abstract A frusto-conically shaped panel of elastomeric two-way stretch material is secured at the lower edge within the interior of a pair of trousers along the waistline and the upper edge of the band is supported by collapsible panels. When the trousers are worn, the waistband is stretched to conform with the waistline of the wearer, and the stretched waistband provides a reinforcement to the upper edge of the trousers, preventing them from turning over or deforming under use.
