Abstract A SPECTROPHOTOMETER IS DISCLOSED WHEREIN LIGHT FROM A SOURCE OF LIGHT IS DIRECTED THROUGH A LIQUID TO BE ANALYZED, AND THE LIGHT IS REFLECTED FROM A DIFFRACTION GRATING TO PROVIDE A SPECTRUM OF LIGHT WHICH IS THEN CAUSED TO SELECTIVELY IMPINMGE ON A PHOTOCELL TO THEREBY GIVE AN INDICATION OF THE ABSORPTION CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LIQUID.
