Abstract Perhalogenated benzenes of the formula C6BrxClyFz where x is 02, y is 0-4, z is 2-4 and 1.5x + y is from 2.5 to 4, their isomers and mixtures thereof have a combination of properties which render them suitable for use in small Rankine cycle engines.
