Abstract
Abstract The gear shifting lever for a multiple-speed hub in a bicycle is attached to the bicycle frame by two clamping plates which are connected by screws, and of which one carries the support for the lever. The support and the clamping members are covered by a housing having a viewing aperture for sequential display of indicia indicating the transmission ratio as the lever is pivoted, the indicia being arranged on a carrier coupled to the leer and guided between one of the clamping plates and the housing.
