Abstract
Abstract Novel compositions of matter comprising diesters of halosubstituted alkyloxyalkylphosphonates containing at least two halogen atoms as exemplified by dimethyl 3-chloro-2,3dibromopropoxymethylphosphonates are utilized as components in preparing compounds such as plastics, polymers, resins, etc. and will impart desirable physical characteristics of flame retardance or fire resistance to these compounds.
