Abstract
Abstract Splicing the overlapping ends of thermoplastic moving picture films between an anvil and an ultrasonic horn which have plane non parallel surfaces inclined at an acute angle to one another. This eliminates the embrittlement which occurs when the horn and anvil have parallel surfaces.
