Claim 1
Independent Claim
103 words
A motor cycle back rest comprising a main frame support adapted to connection with a motor cycle, a back rest located forward of and in substantially longitudinal alignment therewith, a rearwardly extending strut pivotally connected to the upper end of said back rest, and being further connected to said main frame member, the point of connection being longitudinally adjustable therewith, means adapted to maintain the angular relationship of an adjusted position of said main frame support and said strut, and further means adapted to maintain the spacial and angular juxtaposition of an adjusted relationship of said main frame support and said back rest.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim

A motor cycle back rest comprising a main frame support adapted to connection with a motor cycle, a back rest located forward of and in substantially longitudinal alignment therewith, a rearwardly extending strut pivotally connected to the upper end of said back rest, and being further connected to said main frame member, the point of connection being longitudinally adjustable therewith, means adapted to maintain the angular relationship of an adjusted position of said main frame support and said strut, and further means adapted to maintain the spacial and angular juxtaposition of an adjusted relationship of said main frame support and said back rest.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
15 words
A combination as in claim 1 wherein said back rest is adapted for elevatory adjustment.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
27 words
A combination as in claim 1 wherein said connection between said strut and said main frame member comprises a clamp adapted to engage both of said elements.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
41 words
A combination as in claim 1 wherein said first mentioned means comprises a pair of struts having one end pivotally attached to the upper end of said back rest, and having the other end pivotally attached to said main frame member.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
41 words
A combination as in claim 1 wherein said second mentioned means comprises a pair of struts having one end pivotally attached to the lower end of said back rest, and having the upper end adjustably connected to said first mentioned means.
