Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim 134 words
A package comprising a cartridge having an internal spool rotatably secured medially therein; a passageway into said cartridge opening to said spool; at least two strands of tape having one end joined together with the joined one end extending through said passageway and attached to said spool; a plurality of identical bags, each of said bags having two overlying sides; each of said bags having one side secured to said tape, its open end oriented in the same direction respecting said tape as all of the other bags and facing along said tape toward said cartridge, each bag after the bottom bag relative to said tape offset along said tape and overlying the opening of the underlying bag, said tapes being spaced apart about an equal distance where they engage each of said bags.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 134 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 145 words
The package of claim 1 wherein the cartridge has a substantial cylindrical housing having a substantially cylindrical housing wall; the passageway into the cartridge in a slot extending through said cylindrical housing wall; the spool is cylindrical and secured in the middle of said housing and in cylindrical alignment with said cylindrical housing wall; and wherein there are at least two strands of tape extending parallel to one another and spaced apart about an equal distance where they engage each of said bags; each of said strands of tape has a tacky surface and an opposite surface free of tack, the respective tacky surfaces of said strands of tape adherred together at one respective end of each tape and attached to the spool to attach the tape to said spool, said adherred together ends extending through the slot in the cylindrical wall of the housing.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 134 words
The package of claim 2 wherein each bag is offset along said tapes about three-fourths inch from the adjacent bag and the tapes are spaced inwardly from the sides of each bag about one-fourth the width of the bag within a tolerance of one-eighth the width of the bag and the tacky surface of each of said tapes having a contact area of from about one-fourth to 1 square inch with each of said bags; and said tacky substance having tack strength when adherred to the bag sufficient to allow a pull in excess of about 2 pounds to separate the bags from the tape and to hold the bags securely to said tape against a pull of less than about 1 pound when the pull is applied at an angle of 30* .
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 243 words
The package of claim 3 wherein the cylindrical housing includes two shallow cupped cylindrical members that have respective relatively flat circular walls with interfitting mating walls projecting therefrom at their outer edges, said mating walls being frictionally joined to form said housing; three pairs of bosses extending radially, said three pairs of bosses evenly spaced about and projecting from the outer surface of one of said cylindrical members and extending across at least a portion of said flat circular wall and at least a portion of said projecting interfitting wall; the cylindrical spool has a cylindrical outer wall; an annulus is formed in said spool and bounded by said cylindrical outer wall; a slot extends through said cylindrical wall in said spool and opens into said annulus; the adherred together ends of the tape are attached to the spool by extending through the slot in the spool and being twisted in said annulus to secure them therein; a coupling is provided in the spool and opens through said flat circular wall having said bosses formed thereon; the two overlying sides of each of said bags are identical dimensions, each of said sides has a concave scalloped lip edge at the open end of the bag, the two scalloped lips of each bag overly one another and are evenly aliGned; a dust covering of powder on the outer surface and inner surface of each of said bags to reduce the surface adherring properties thereof.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 61 words
A package of imbricated bags comprising a spool adapted to be rotated, at least two strands of tape, a plurality of imbricated bags, each of said bags having at least one side secured to said tape strand, and at least one extremity of each of said strands of tape being secured together and the resultant laminate being attached to said spool.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 61 words
A package of imbricated bags comprising a spool adapted to be rotated, at least two strands of tape, a plurality of imbricated bags, each of said bags having at least one side secured to said tape strand, and at least one extremity of each of said strands of tape being secured together and the resultant laminate being attached to said spool.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 30 words
The package of claim 5 wherein said strands of tape have adhesive on one side and the adhesive sides are attached to each other before being attached to said spool.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 43 words
The package of claim 6 including a cartridge adapted to rotatably mount said spool and including a passageway to the interior of said spool whereby the attached ends of said strands of tape extend through the passageway into the interior of said cartridge.
