Abstract
Abstract Apparatus for the manufacture of pneumatic tires comprising means for disposing a plurality of carcass plies in the form of a continuous tubular ring around a cylindrical support, means operative with said support to clamp one edge of said ring to said support, means to move the support into coaxial relationship with one side of the building drum with said clamped edge being adjacent said one side, means to turn said plies from said support onto said drum in such a manner that their inner faces are turned towards the outside and means to apply bead cores and filler strips and to turn up the edge of said plies around said beads and filler strips.
