Abstract

Abstract A method of classifying seismic events according to their direction of arrival by a process equivalent to the focusing and detecting of events by a lenticular array of transmitters and an array of detectors located on the focal surface of the lens. Each plane wave front caused by an event will converge at a detector on the focal surface whose position indicates the direction of arrival of the seismic event.
